Sardines & Gremolata

My love for fried sardines come from my dad. Gremolata I learned to make this summer. The combination of the two is perfect!



Dinner for 2 or starter for 4

8 sardine filets
1 tbsp olive oil
salt&peper

Gremolata
1 lemon zest
juice from 1/2 lemon
2dl flat parsley
1 garlic clove


  1. Fry the sardines in olive oil, 2-3 min on each side.
  2. Wash lemon. Grate lemon zest and juice the lemon.
  3. Add the parsley, garlic, lemon zest & juice to a blender. Or if you don't have a blender, chop the parsley, mince the garlic, add the lemon zest & juice. Mix. 
  4. Place the sardines on a plate and drizzle the gremolata on top.
